Counseling

Many people don’t feel comfortable discussing their problems in public. Even after attending a series of group sessions, they feel like talking about specific problems in the privacy of a counseling room. In fact, the more one goes through group sessions, the more one feels the urge to seek counseling for individual implementation.

The commonest issues for counseling relate to the family. With ever increasing pressures on the relationship front, be it marital or otherwise, men and women of all age groups feel somewhat lost in the rapid swirl of currents that flow free and wild, thanks to the media and the internet, topped up by absence of set norms of personal living. Many get carried away by short term temptations only to regret them in the long run. It is the role of the wise in any society to provide an objective, outside perspective to subjective domains of behavior, as they can disturb the very socio-cultural fabric of the society.

Shastri Memorial Foundation offers counseling services free of charge for the needy and economically compromised. From others, a donation to the foundation would be appreciated, as it is also eligible for income tax deduction under section 80G.
