His Holiness, The Dalai Lama, said science and technology, though capable of creating immeasurable material comfort, cannot replace the age-old spiritual and humanitarian values that have largely shaped world civilization. No one can deny the unprecedented material benefit of science and technology, but our basic human problems remain; we are still faced with the same, if not more, suffering, fear, and tension.
We at Shastri Memorial Foundation believe that today’s problems of the society as well as the individual need to be addressed in a wholesome manner if they have to be effective, for which an integrated approach to the body, mind and spirit is called for. Our activities and services are oriented along these lines. |
